I compared the picture quality of the Toshiba 19AV600U side by side with Samsung (at our local Best Buy) after tweaking both to their maximum quality and the Toshiba had truer colors with accurate flesh tones, probably due to the 10 bit color. The sound was also much better (and louder) than other TV's of the same size. If you can live without the headphone jack, then this will be a great choice, especially for a small bedroom or kitchen.
One more thing that impressed me and my daughter was how the TV cleaned up the standard analog cable channels, apparently due to the noise reduction feature, which we put on high. Some of the channels even look as good as digital or HD. The 19AV600U also has (2) HDMI jacks and is a great looking little TV even when it's off. We mostly buy SONY but was settling for Samsung (since Sony is not that impressive in this size range) until I ran across this little jewel.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2T8Z29ZRSFQPH This video explains how much I enjoy this HDTV and the aspects on why you should consider it in your own home.
If you would like to know more go to your local stores, or read some more of this great reviews.
I forgot to mention in the review that the tuner inside picks up many channels and the HD channels off air are amazing! Just as great as a 1080p set, but listed as a 720 it works 1080 gorgeous.
Amazon.com has the most affordable price listed on this set.
I know how valuable time is, so this review and all of mine is done is 3 minutes even.
Go ahead time me.

I purchased this TV after much comparison shopping and reading of reviews of various models on Amazon and other web sites. I settled on this model and am very pleased. I use the TV in our kitchen and it has an excellent picture (given the price) and I have not encountered any issues with sound volume. The sound could be criticized as being a little "tinny", but, that said, I would not count this as a material criticism. Frankly, you might consider getting the 22" model if it fits both your budget and the space that you have. In conclusion, you should not hesitate to purchase this TV. Note, however, that I found the TV at a slightly cheaper price at Fry's (in-store price not on-line price).

After shopping all over the net and all the major retail chains, I was never able to find a small, affordable LCD for a bedroom. Everybody had 42" sets for $500, nobody had anything decent for around $200. Finally ended up at a regional electronics chain where I found this gem buried in the back with Coby, Viore and other junk brands. This Toshiba was the best by far, rivaling much larger sets. In the end, I had to choose between this Toshiba and a similar Philips. What made the deal was the complete range of inputs on the Toshiba: S-video (a must for me), VGA, two sets each of HDMI, and component, and 1 composite for games or whatnot. Many lower-end sets sacrifice some or all of these inputs meaning you'll have to go swapping plugs all the time. This Toshiba has it all covered.
Setup was easy. The stand pops down and has a slide lock. Plug in the power (two-prong plug) and video source and go. After letting it warm up, picture quality out of the box was very good. The brightness was a touch high but that's normal for a new TV. It found all the local HDTV channels very quickly (something my old HDTV converter could never get the same twice) and properly labeled all of them. A basic thing but important. OTA picture is great, very solid and clear. 1080i signals look great even with down-conversion. Connected to my satellite box over the S-video, the picture is sharp and bright and looks as good as I have ever seen it. The set appears to handle legacy 480i signals just fine which is more important to me than HD performance.
Connected to a Wii over component video, the 480p signal looks as good as the Wii can. Not pushing the set very hard here. Have not tested the HDMI connection since I don't have any HDMI devices. Also have not tried out the PC VGA connection.
Sound-wise, it does sound tinny as other reviews have said, which is why I only gave it four stars. But the set does have an optical out feed for use with a stereo system, and RCA audio out as well. Lots of ways to run the sound through something better. I am sort of glad the set is more concerned with picture than sound. Toshiba seems to have thought this way on purpose: you can totally disable the TV's internal speakers via the audio menu. That said, the speakers are fine for everyday use. Most people can live with them just the way they are if they turn the bass up to full.
The remote is functional and decently laid-out. The only notable thing is that you have to use the input button to switch inputs. Many TVs let you use the channel up/down buttons for this. Not Toshiba. The remote will control a Toshiba DVD player if you happen to have one. My Tivo was able to adopt the Toshiba remote codes on the first try.
For me, one test of how well a product works is how far into it I can get before looking at the manual. Most men are probably like this. Happily, I have not yet needed the book. The setup menus are intuitive and clear and simple.
Conclusion: an excellent choice for a kitchen or bedroom or anyone on a budget. The value for the price is outstanding and there are very few compromises. Highly recommended.

Started looking for a television to replace an older model. Went to Best Buy to compare picture and sound quality side by side, and settled on this model. The ability to change the framing of the picture allows each individual to see what style they prefer, at the click of a button. The color quality is a true color representation, and again it is easy to change the brightness if you like. We chose to mount it on the wall, and with the thickness of just over an inch, it is not in the way when walking in front of it.
Amazon had the best price, by $50 over Best Buy when we were looking, and we were well satisfied with the delivery. Ordered at 5:00 p.m. one day, and had received it by noon the following day.
Would highly recommend this model to anyone.

I bought three new 32-inch LCD TVs in one week, and returned the first two because of faulty video inputs. The third TV I bought is this high-quality, Panasonic TC-L32X2 TV, which was just released in February 2010. My experience enabled me to compare three similar TVs, giving me good insight to write this review.
I initially bought two other 32-inch LCD TVs; a Vizio VO320E and a Sony BRAVIA BX 300 Series (model KDL-32BX300). I returned both of them because of identical video input problems. I connected two different brands of DVD players to each TV, and when I played DVDs, there were alternating horizontal stripes of discoloration on the screen, indicating a problem with the video inputs on the TVs. I returned both TVs to the retailer because both of these DVD players worked perfectly on two other TVs in my house, including a one-year-old Panasonic plasma.
Then I bought the Panasonic TC-L32X2 TV listed here. After the initial setup, the first thing I tested was the video output from a DVD player, and was relieved to find that the video was crisp and clear, with no stripes of discoloration like on the other two TVs. Then I flipped through the channels from a direct cable TV input (no cable box), and the TV output was excellent as well, and definitely better than the other two TVs that I had to return. Also, the build of the TV was noticeably of higher quality than the other two TVs. The remote has plenty of features, and is not cheap (like the ones that came with other two TVs).
This Panasonic TC-L32X2 TV comes with one cable TV input, one set of component video inputs (red/blue/green video and red/white audio), two sets of composite video inputs (red/white/yellow), three HDMI inputs, a PC input, an iPod dock with connector cable and rear input, an SD camera card input, and a Dolby digital audio output.

I absolutely love this televison. At such a low price I did not expect too much but it arrived within only two days (that's with the free shipping too!) and was amazing! The only complaints I have are that the base collects dust very easily, and also when assembling make sure you have a very long thin screwdriver or else it'll be quite a battle putting this thing together. Other than that, I love this tv and set up was a breeze!

After 18 years with a 25" RCA tube TV, I finally stepped up to HD. After watching (and complaining) for three months about the inconsistent picture quality of a previous HDTV purchase (Sylvania TV/DVD combo), it's a real pleasure to watch a quality TV with correct color reproduction and black levels that aren't overwhelming.
Great picture out of the box, even from extreme angles; so far I've only upped the brightness. When I get some time, I'll use "Video Essentials" to set everything correctly. My wife claimed that the previous TV looked fine to her, but after just two days with this TV she commented, "The picture is really clear." She was watching "Sex and the City" on Showtime HD and remarked that she could now see all the details in one of Carrie's jackets, when before she thought it was all black. She also commented on the incredible detail in A Bug's Life on DVD. (Watching all my son's Pixar DVDs has become an absolute joy.)
For me the test was Breaking Bad on AMCHD, and although the show's palette tends toward dark and greenish, it's far better than the Sylvania I replaced. After having watched an episode of Cougar Town, however, I'm beginning to believe that broadcast TV is a crapshoot in terms of proper color balance. DVDs are far more consistent. Speaking of which, I want to revisit a lot of my favorite movies now that I can watch them on a bigger, wider, clearer screen than I've ever had before. (Update 6/26/10: I just hooked up a new JVC XVBP11 Blu-ray Player and the detail and clarity is just stunning. You can often find me standing slack-jawed in the middle of the living room. Every day I love my TV a little more.)
My wife absolutely loves the iPod dock and the ability to control the iPod with the TV remote; I'd love it if my album artwork showed up on the screen. Sound levels from the built-in speakers seem anemic, but since this TV will eventually go into the bedroom, I'll live with it. Oddly, output levels seem OK when using the cable box, but very low when using the Blu-ray player (each uses its own HDMI input). That brings me to my one major beef about the set: Although it has three HDMI inputs and various other component/composite inputs, it has no external RCA output (only optical and Viera Link, whatever that is), so I can't hook it up to either my non-optical receiver or my wireless headphone transmitter. One more thing that just came up: Occasionally the sound will distort, as if the signal is being doubled or physically "stretched." Turning the TV off and on fixes the problem, but then, so does turning the cable box off and on (so I'm blaming the box). It happens so seldom that it's not a huge deal, but it's still slightly annoying.
Overall, though, I'm very happy with this purchase, and will definitely consider a Panasonic Viera for our next (bigger, higher-resolution) HDTV. What blows my mind is that this TV cost about the same as my 25" RCA did back in 1992. For what it's worth, I took the RCA to Goodwill; as far as I know it's still alive and kicking.
Update 7/31/10: I'm taking half a point off for the lack of USB inputs. We have a Flip Video camera and I would really like to hook it to the TV so we can watch our videos, but there's no USB port (well, it wasn't important until now). I tried running it through the Blu-ray player, but that was a no-go. And I can't use my iPod because Flip videos won't play on it. Grr.

I ordered this tv to replace a 20 year old one that I was playing xbox on. I love it not just for the gaming but the other features also. the sd card reader and the ipod dock are a great couple of add ons for a tv. its very easy to use and the menus are very user friendly. I ordered it from abt electronics and received it in 4 days. The picture is excellent. I just had to tone down the picture a little while gaming cause it was a little too sharp. but the adjustments were easy to do. I recommend it to anyone.

This Panasonic TV has a great, clear picture. The 720p is perfectly fine for a 32 inch. I looked at plenty of TVs before I purchased this one. It was very easy to set up & the price was right!
