There are three main things when looking for a pair of sunglasses: eye protection, comfort and an amazing and modern style. This accessory not only protects your eyes from ultraviolet rays, but it also enriches any outfit, it could be the classic little black dress or even a pair of jeans.

Frames come in every shape and material, plastic big and retro, like Jackie O's famous style, or the metal base aviator look like the ones preferred by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, there is a model for every type of person and budget. Try them on, compare their weight and find out which one feels the best on you.

To make the appropriate selection for you, choose the ones that go with the form of your face. For example, if your face is squared, go with a pair with round lenses, if you have a round face, then should choose a model with a square frame. While women with oval shaped faces can have the freedom to choose any type of model.

Also, consider experimenting with colors, there are beautiful styles in colors other than the classic black and brown, red and white are always a great color for sunglasses. If you have a suntan, look for models with warm colors like orange or gold. Colors are also applied to the lenses to help absorb light as it passes through. Sunglasses are effective as they are, no matter the brand or model; but if you want to have a designer name on at least one item on your outfit, sunglasses may be the perfect one to consider. Gucci, Dior and Prada are one of the most popular fashion houses with a big line of sunglasses; just remember to watch the UV ratings, your sunglasses must always provide protection from ultraviolet radiation. It is recommended you look for lenses that block 99-100% of UVA and UVB radiation.

Styles may vary within seasons, for winter, you still need to be protected from the sun rays, the lens is usually lighter allowing a clearer view while still protecting eyes and reducing glare. While shopping for your pair of sunglasses don't be afraid to try every single one on, if you can walk outside and try them under the sun, do it, that way there is not one reason why you would want to return them.
