Sandals arrived with the straps pretty well permanently flattened by the shipping box. That made it a two hand operation to get them on. I stuffed them with paper towels to shape the uppers and put them in the sun. When they cooled the uppers stood up by themselves making them a no hand operation to get on.
The heel is hollowed out and suction-cups itself to any smooth floor at every step. I drilled a 3/16" hole through the web between the heel and the arch on the bottom of the sandals. No more suction cup effect.
Other than those two minor problems – they are great, comfortable sandals!

I already own a pair of Okabashi Eurosport sandals, so I had no concerns about ordering these Milan sandals. However, as mentioned by another reviewer, they create an annoying suction effect when I'm hosing off my patio or driveway. I'm definitely going to take the advice below and modify them. Okabashi makes great, durable sandals that are comfortable and easy to clean. I would give these five stars, but it should not be necessary for customers to fix a manufacturing defect.

Sturdy rubber construction make Okabashi sandals comfortable in city, country, or tropics. Good value, and all sizes available, would certainly purchase again.

Love the shoe. Comfortable and stylish. Didn't know that they could be recycled until after they arrived. I recommend the shoes highly. Well worth the reasonable purchase price. Considering buying flip-flops also.

Surprised to see when sandals delivered, that they are all rubber, and are very uncomfortable to wear. I do not recall that these sandals were described as being made of rubber when i ordered them. i will have to return them. Paul Del Giudice.
